The Counterbalance Training course is provided by an ITSSAR accredited MJP Training instructor. Operators will be given an understanding of what can cause instability, best practice driving techniques, battery maintenance or other fuel relevant training applicable to the truck. The course also teaches operators how to stack and de-stack into racking and unload from vehicles if applicable.

TimesThe counterbalance training day starts at 08:30am and finishes at 16:30 with a maximum of three-to-one instructor-trainee ratio. This provides the instructor with enough time each day to fully instruct operators on different types of lifts required to pass your test.
LocationsCounterbalance training can be held at our site in Dudley, West Midlands, using our facilities and equipment. Instructors can also come to your site using your facilities and equipment to train your employees.
Course durationWe offer four types of counterbalance training course for all abilities and requirements:
|Refresher||For operators who have had previous accredited training on the equipment and need to renew their certificate or they are converting from one machine to another.||1 day|
|Conversion||Our ITSSAR Forklift Counterbalance Training – Conversion Course is for current certified fork truck operators wishing to convert their Fork Lift Truck driving qualification and skills to include a counterbalance truck.||1 day|
|Experienced||Our Counterbalance Experienced course is for existing operators with some previous experience of using a counterbalance forklift truck but have not had the benefit of adequate, formal ITSSAR Forklift Training in basic operating skills.||3 days|
|Novice||For operators who have had no accredited counterbalance training previously.||5 days|
CertificationEach successful operator will receive an A4 size certificate.
